July is Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Awareness Month, which is dedicated to making everyone aware of arthritis.
The most prevalent form of juvenile arthritis is juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Diagnosis of juvenile idiopathic arthritis can be difficult as joint pain can be caused by many different types. No single test can confirm a diagnosis, but tests can aid in ruling out some other conditions that show similar signs and symptoms. The tests like- Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein, Anti-nuclear antibody, Rheumatoid factor, Cyclic citrullinated peptide (CCP) and many others can be used for suspected cases.
