Parkinson’s Disease is a condition that involves dysfunction or loss of dopamine-producing neurons in the brain. The hallmarks of this Disease are degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta of the midbrain and Lewy bodies presence, cytoplasmic aggregations of the protein a-synuclein in brain neurons.
