Smell and taste disorders affect an individual’s choice of following a safe and healthy diet. Besides, they also impact food-related behaviors, like enjoying a meal. These disorders impair the ability to sense warning odors in foods and the environment and hinder the quality of life (QoL) related to social interactions, eating, and feelings of well-being.
