A Neuroendocrine tumor is a type of cancer where neuroendocrine cells develop into tumors. Whereas Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors (GEP-NETs) are tumors that arise from neuroendocrine cells in the gut. A Neuroendocrine Tumor grows slowly and aggressively and tends to spread to other parts of the body. Many times neuroendocrine tumor symptoms aren’t detected incidentally.
